Description of the variety

Tommie F1 Hokdou Pak Choi (Brassica rapa subsp. pekinensis) is a cool-season biennial grown as an annual, developed through selective breeding for uniformity, disease resistance, and productivity. It forms dense, upright heads with smooth, slightly crinkled leaves. This cultivar is suitable for planting in main season. Compared with SD No 2 Hokdou Pak Choi, SD No 1 wraps better and maintains its signature barrel shape. The leaves are glossy dark green. The plant is dwarf type.

Planting Guidelines

Sow seeds directly or start indoors in trays with well-drained, fertile soil.

Space plants 30–40 cm apart in rows 45–60 cm apart.

Keep soil consistently moist during germination (5–10 days) and early growth.

Apply compost before planting and use balanced fertilizer every 3–4 weeks.

Thin seedlings to ensure proper airflow and head formation.
