DaPingPu Chinese Mustard
Description of the variety
DAPINGBU Chinese Mustard is a heading Chinese mustard. It produces a big and semi-compact head, similar to cabbage but with thinner, crinkled leaves. The outer leaves are broad and slightly bitter, while the inner heart is tender and milder. The plant thrives in cool, moist conditions and is sensitve to both frost and heat. Its maturity is relatively early.
Planting Guidelines
It can be planted in a wide variety of soil.
Wide adaptation.
Soil: Fertile, well-drained loam with good moisture retention
Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade
Spacing: 25 cm between plants; 30–40 cm between rows
Watering: Regular, especially during head formation; avoid waterlogging
Fertilization: Apply compost before planting; boost with nitrogen and potassium during growth
Propagation: Direct sow or transplant seedlings
Harvesting: Cut whole plant when head is firm and 10–20 cm in diameter
